Obsessed with these protein packed energy bites and they only have 4 ingredients! Dates, almonds, chia seeds and coconut flakes. Quick and simple to make, plus I’m already thinking of so many different variations that I can’t wait to try.
What’s so great about these ingredients? Dates and almonds are both rich in various vitamins, nutrients and protein. They provide a quick energy boost and can help maintain a healthy weight.
What’s the deal with Chia Seeds? Chia seeds have high levels of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, soluble fiber, potassium and antioxidants.
2 1/2 cups almonds
2 1/2 cups pitted dates
2 tablespoons chia seeds
1 cup coconut flakes (unsweetened)
Add almonds, dates and chia seeds to food processor. Pulse until consistency is “dough” like. Roll into bite size balls.
Add coconut flakes to food processor. Pulse until fine. Roll balls in coconut flakes.
Refrigerate and enjoy!
