Daily Harvest delivers real, unprocessed and unrefined foods in the most convenient format possible : frozen.
I recently signed up for this delivery service and so far, I’m impressed! They source organic and unrefined ingredients from top tier farms whenever possible. They freeze the ingredients at peak ripeness to lock in nutrients (hellooo, max health benefits). And, cups are delivered on a weekly basis in quantities of 6, 9, 12 or 24. Don’t worry, you can update your plan to skip deliveries up to 3 days in advance.
Daily Harvest has 5 products : Smoothies, Overnight Oats, Chia Parfaits, Soups and Sundaes. You can filter by dietary needs (Keto, High Protein, Low Cal, Gluten Free, Paleo, Low Carb, Low Sugar and Vegan) and key benefits (workout recovery, energizing, anti-inflammatory, stress relief, immunity boosting, cleansing, beautifying and digestive support), as well as by likes and dislikes.
In my first box, I got all smoothies. Acai + Cherry, Blueberry + Hemp, Chocolate + Blueberry, Cold Brew + Almond and Strawberry + Peach.
Based on my initial experience, I would highly recommend – here are my top reasons why..
Customer experience : the website is very user friendly and highly customizable. You can build your own box, pick the delivery schedule and plan that works for you and easily filer through products. For me, the option to filter by Gluten Free options is key.
Shelf-life : unlike other food/drink subscription services I’ve ordered (Zupa Noma, Gundalow Juice, Hungry Harvest, Hello Fresh and Blue Apron), I don’t have to worry about this one going bad. Let’s be real for a minute. It’s not cheap and stuff comes up – since Daily Harvest freezes their ingredients, I don’t have to worry about them going bad before I have the chance to enjoy them. With my busy schedule, I unfortunately ran into this issue quite often with some of the other subscriptions mentioned above.
Variety of products : I like how I have the option to fill my box with a variety of products. I stuck with the smoothies for my first delivery, but am excited to try Daily Harvest’s other offerings.
