This blog is my outlet for all things food and fitness. I love cooking healthy inspired meals using fresh local ingredients whenever possible. I don’t believe in “diets”. My philosophy is to eat a balanced diet of whole foods in moderation. Everything I make is gluten free. I was diagnosed with Celiac, an autoimmune disease that triggers an immune reaction to eating gluten (a protein found in wheat, rye and barley), almost 15 years ago. As far as fitness, I’ve always been active. I played sports growing up, ran cross country and track for a Division I program in college, have run a handful of half marathons (literally – 5) and am a group fitness instructor. My goal is to get my personal training certification (short term) and ultimately open up my own fitness studio (long term). In the meantime, I’m using this blog to share my health/fitness journey because it’s something that I’m truly passionate about.
